My sister Lauren and my brother-in-law Kyle came down yesterday for a little visit. We had a lot of fun! We spent most of yesterday eating good food and drinking good alcohol! I propositioned them last month to come down for a night of rowdiness, sort of a last hurrah for our college days. We didn't get as crazy as I anticipated, but it was still fun! It just shows that we're getting older I guess...!
Today Lauren treated me to a mani/pedi! For some reason it was impossible to find a salon that was open... When my mom visited last fall we got pedicures at an absolutely TERRIBLE place. The girl there thought I was pregnant and I couldn't convince her that I wasn't! I mean, I know I'm pudgy but definitely not pregnant! I ended up texting my friend Raquel who told us about a decent place, and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but good enough! There was only one guy there, though, and he called another girl to come in, but Lauren had to wait like twenty minutes to get started! I guess the girl had to find a ride and she had to bring her 4 month old baby in. The baby was adorable, though, she even had her little toes painted!

(I don't know what's going on with my freaky right foot...). I picked a really pretty berry color for my manicure, I don't normally do purple but I love this one!
I thought I would rock a side braid today, but I don't think my hair is quite long enough for one. I have all these weird little layers that fall out. Plus my hair is really thin, I have a lot of it, but when I put it in any sort of ponytail it doesn't amount to much...
I'm wearing my newest sweater that I'm obsessed with! It's really bright in person, and almost to ridiculous to be cute. But it is, and I wear it a lot...
See my necklace? It's all crooked, but it's the bean necklace from Tiffany's! Lauren got it for my high school graduation present, and I thought I lost it but I found it the other day and I've been wearing it ever since! I have to represent my middle name, it's fitting, no?
In other not so great news, we got an email from the new landlord saying she wants to raise our rent by $50. It was just *one more* frustrating thing with this place. Especially since we know that she lowered the apartment rent for the crazy lady by $200 or so! It's just getting unbelievably ridiculous, so I emailed her back saying we can't go over the rent we were originally told, and if that's a problem we'll find something else. We'll see what she says. I'm just concerned with the time frame, we're supposed to move in like three weeks or so, and I don't know if we can find something as nice in that amount of time. UGH it's just too much!
