Granddaddy Librarian.

Last week I had a much overdue eye exam, and I picked out new glasses after three years of wearing a pair with an old prescription. I really had a hard time choosing a pair I liked! I needed to be budget-conscious but I still wanted to find frames that were quirky and cute enough to fit my style. I ended up finding these little pretties in the Men's section, and apparently they had just put this pair out that morning. I snagged them up and proceeded to wait a week for the lenses to be put in. I got the call this morning that they were ready for me, so I drove on over and picked them up! I'm so excited to be able to wear glasses and actually SEE! My last pair were strictly for wearing around the house (mostly at night). I couldn't drive in them because my vision was pretty blurry, so wearing them in public was out of the question. The prescription in these is the same as my contacts, but I'm having a little trouble adjusting to them! I feel like I'm in a fun house :) I brought them home, changed my outfit (it's windy today, the first dress I was wearing was not keeping my bits covered!), and snapped a few pictures!

What do you think? I took these photos with a new little point-and-shoot Olympus I got the other night when we picked up my laptop. It was a $130 camera that I got for $40! It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it'll be nice to have a tiny camera I can keep in my purse. I still have my heart set on getting a nice Nikon, but that'll have to wait a while :)
