VLOG: How to // Straightener Curls

I've had a few requests for this tutorial, so I hope you like it! I had a lot of fun editing it :) I really like doing these curls, they last way longer than curling iron/wand ones. Also- it totally looks like I'm balding in a few frames but I'm just in desperate need of a root touch up, haha. Let me know if you try this out!!

  1. I will have to try this! My hair hates to keep a curl, so maybe this will work.

    1. The best part about it is that these curls last a long time, the next day I still have great hair!!

  3. Thanks so much for posting this! I've tried doing curls with my straight iron the other way (wrapping it) and it just doesn't work for me. I'm gonna give this a shot! :)

  4. I love curling with a flat iron for this very reason. The curls you tend to get look so much softer and "natural". Your hair looks lovely! :)

  5. Such a good idea! I tried the whole "wrapping it around the straightener" thing but could never get it to work. I'll have to try this out.

    1. I couldn't get it either! The videos make it look so easy, but I just looked goofy!

  8. Cool video, thanks for sharing! I've tried dozens of ways to curl my hair but I've never heard of using a straightener like this! What temperature do you set your straightener on? My hair is baby fine hair but I have a lot of it, and Im always worried about it getting dired out.. but your hair looks a lot thicker than mine. Do you ever have any issues with your hair getting too dry?

    1. I have mine set on the highest temperature (I think it's 450). My individual hairs are very thin, but I have a lot of them. I wouldn't say my hair is thick, my ponytail is pretty teeny :) I use a silk treatment (Biosilk) that keeps it from feeling dry, and I use thermal protective mousse. Hope that helps!!

  9. You look so cute in this video!
I used to use a straightener to curl my hair when it was longer. But I think I like your way better. The curls look tighter than I could ever get mine to be.
    Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
