Formspring Friday!

(sorry for editing this post so much, something is up with the font situation and I still don't know if it's fixed. Oh well!)

Alright, I know it isn't Friday, but I didn't post my last round of FS questions yet, plus I got a good one yesterday that I enjoyed answering... Don't forget you can ask me anything you want, either in the small box on the left side of my page or on my formspring page.

What do you want to do career wise? Or what's your dream job?

This question has been running through my head for the last few months. At this point I'm not so sure. Remember when you were a kid and you could just say 'ballerina' or 'astronaut'? That doesn't work so well anymore. I think ultimately my dream job would be something creative and crafty, either having my Etsy become hugely popular or doing something along the lines of what Rachel Denbow and Elsie Flannigan do. I would love to be at home and be able to create all the time, but that also makes me nervous because I don't ever want to resent my crafting.

I would also love to teach gradeschool special ed. I don't know if many of you guys know this, but I have a seven year old sister who is autistic, and she had a pretty rough year at school last year. There are suspicions of abuse surrounding her teacher, and the whole ordeal really got me thinking that I could teach special ed. On the other hand, I've only had to think about the idealistic and rewarding side of it, I know there would be really hard days (or months, or whole years) that I'm not sure if I could handle.

I'd love to be a hairstylist, but I don't want to go back to school right now...

Right now, I think anything would be better than where I'm at. Working for family is tough. I'm hoping I can get an office job that will pay me well and that keeps a regular schedule. I'll do that until I figure something else out!

(long enough answer?! lol.)

you should post a picture of Jean in that tshirt!

Haha I totally will! He'll have a little fashion show, I have to admit I've bought more than one tee for him. And by tee, I mean he also has two sweaters and winter jacket... I swear I'm not cruel, it's just cute and funny and he really doesn't mind!

i just came across your blog wow i love it you have excellent taste in music! i will def keep checking back! your style is amazing too!

Thank you thank you! I've been meaning to do more music related posts, you've just reminded me!

what kind of car is chris's new car?

He got a Hyundai something or other... I think it's an Accent? It's a little hatchback thing.

Chris and I have lunch with his mom and some of their family friends who are in town for a wedding in a few hours. The son of this family grew up with Chris, they were really close until he moved to Florida freshman year in high school. I've really enjoyed meeting him and getting to know him, and hearing all the cute stories about Chris as a little kid!

Have you entered my birthday giveaway yet?! I hope so!

love you billions!!

  1. I would love to be a hairstylist too, but I just can't justify spending money going back to school when I am already 20,000 in debt from my first degree (that hasn't done a thing for me)

  2. @Ashley: That's totally how I feel. I don't have debt, but I can't justify spending $15-20,000 on cosmetology school. At least not yet!
